Tea Rebranding — Claire Patrick

Plantable Tea Packaging

This project objective was to rebrand an existing tea brand. The brand I chose was two leaves tea company™. I took their mission for inspiration, of how they "go there" to bring the best quality tea and try to have most of their tea organic. I took the path of wanted to make the tea packaging as organic as I could, and wanted it to be sustainable as well. I hand made the paper and incorporated seeds into the paper, so when the consumer is finished with their box of tea, they could plant their box and help the recycling process.

Step 1

In a blender I added shredded craft paper and water in order to make a pulp, and then in a bowl I added a mixture of seeds.

Step 2

In a large shallow container, I filled the bottom with water and added the pulp to it in order to make the pulp less dense and easier for the screening process.

Step 3

I used a simple screen and submerged it under the pulpy water, and brought it up and let the water drain from the screen to reveal a piece of plantable paper.

Step 4

After the paper dry enough to remove from the screen, I hung it up for the rest of the drying process.
